Don Gaspar de Portola Elementary School has two computer lab centers. One is housed in the Media Center; the other is in Room 13. These are available for semiweekly visits by classroom groups.
During their lab time, K-5 students typically use the ST Math program. ST Math, or “JiJi Math” as the students call it, is software that incorporates a visual approach to teach math concepts. ST Math is self-paced and is aligned with California State Standards. Additionally, the computer labs are available for class groups to use for word processing and other tasks during non-scheduled time blocks.
